My experience during the Haiti mission trip in the summer of 2009 was beyond anything i ever expected. A the beginning of the trip i had no idea what i had gotten myself into. I was stressed and home sick. As the trip continued, i began to relax, enjoy the fact that i was doing the work God made me to do, and learned to be flexible with most every situation that was thrown at me. I learned so much about myself, about Haiti, and how awesome it feels to be apart of something bigger than myself. It was definately harder living conditions down there but when I finally made it home (after 32 hours of delays and flights, and after a softball tournament) the smallest things were practically a pot of gold. For example, the toliet. All in all the trip was amazing. I was very blessed to have the opportunity to go and do God's works. I really pray that i helped the people of Haiti but in the end i think they helped and taught me more. I am going again during spring bread of 2010 and i am so excited. I can't wait to be able to do more than my last trip and hopefully make an impact in someone's life.
