Work Day

Hello and greetings from Stephanie 2 in Romania

Today is Monday and I have to say our fuel was running low as we ventured to the center to a packed day of tiling, cleaning, organizing and time with Rachel and the kids. After Adi parked the van and we unloaded we were off and running of course by the grace of God who we can do all things through Christ who gives us strength – woo hoo – I love those little surprises by God. The tile tag team was back in action with Curt in a trash bag as he cut the tile, Michelle on grout and measuring duty and some of the team – Barb, Kevin, Janet, Urb, Stephanie 1 and Julie laying the tile. By the end of a long day the tiling was complete in four rooms and grout being spread. What an amazing team.

While in the kitchen helping Rachel feed the little darlings breakfast I noticed one of the little angles was really quite which was not like her bubbly self. She ate very little and headed outside. I cleaned the kitchen and headed to see Rachel to ask about her. I found Rachel rocking her and I asked Rachel if she was okay and to my astonishment Rachel pointed to a large swollen bruise on her temple. I was saddened as Rach told me that her grandfather hit her in the head with a chair. Oh sweet baby girl I said as I looked into those deep dark brown eyes. Rachel loved all over her and rocked her as she hummed a beautiful tune.

I said I silent prayer for her and then headed off to tackle the finished apartment with a total scrub down ready for an upcoming arrival on Friday who will be coming from the states to work with Rachel and Dave. As I headed to gather the cleaning supplies I noticed Adi sitting on the patio reading a children’s bible, I then grabbed Kevin to look Adi’s way and oh what a God moment to see Adi continuing to seek more about our awesome God. As Stephanie 1 shared in yesterday’s blog so many wonderful things are taking place and stiring in Adi. Please keep praying for Adi.

Tracy was on trash duty or as Dave would say rubbish duty.

As the kids played and with the apartment cleaned, Rachel and I headed back to Oradea to the farm to pick up some items and then to Selgros to shop for the family care packets. The families received two care packets a month filled with potatoes, seasoning, oil, flour, sugar, shampoo, detergent and macaroni. Dave and Tim deliver the packets to the families and pray with them and check up on everything.

Dave and Kevin headed to the funereal of Marina who passed away on Saturday of cancer. Dave shared with us that the funeral was beautiful.

Our night ending with McDonalds and fellowship.

Thanks for all your prayers and I just adore the team. The bond we have developed will last a lifetime and in our glorious days in heaven.

Re: Work Day

I've been following the activities while you've been in Romania, and am so thankful for the blog entries. FMN and the team were the focus of this week's prayer notes (24/7), so you're getting lots of support.

I know it's about time for you all to leave, and we're praying you through. Blessings on your return trip!

Love ya' and miss you.
